Sunday 26th March, seen the Saval Golf Society get their season up and running, on what was a lovely dry but windy day, Ardglass Golf Club was the venue for the eager golfers today.
Welcomed by 2023 Captain Peter Dunne, 31 golfers took to the superb links course on offer.
Scoring was of a high standard but none more so than Bridge man Raymond Fegan, coming out on top with a superb 41 points and taking home he win, runner up was Dodo McCarthy with an equally impressive 38 points.
Low section winner and newest member of the society was another Bridge man, Eamon Coulter with 37 points, although he did think he had 39 points, but some boys need a calculator to add a few small numbers, High section winner was Tommy Redmond.
Nearest the pin on the 12th hole was Conor McConville and nearest the pin on the replacement hole for the 5th hole, was Barrie McCoy.
2’s was also on the cards today, with Conor McConville, Garry Sands, Peter Clerkin and Miceal Clerkin all recording a 2.
Front 9 winner with 20 points was Shane Burns, and back 9 winner was Barrie McCoy with 20 points
