On behalf of everyone at Saval Club, we would like to take this opportunity and congratulate our very own Michael Redmond on winning the Down Club volunteer of the year award 2023.


Everyone will surely agree there is no better person to receive such an award, Mickeys tireless work doesn't go unrecognised around the club and no job is too big or to small.


From the new carpark behind the goals, to the new gym, solar panels, Mickey puts the needs of the club and community to fore every time.


He was presented with his award at a ceremony last week in the Crowne Plaza Dublin by Mary O'Connor CEO of Federation of Irish Sport.


Again, a massive well done and huge thank you for everything you do for Saval GAC, its volunteers like Mickey who keep a Club going strong.
